Don't Move Backwards

Did you know that emus and kangaroos cannot move backwards?  Sometimes we want to dwell on our past mistakes or missed opportunities. However, I think we should be more like emus and kangaroos and keep moving forward, rather than looking backward at things that we cannot fix.  When you dwell on things that you have no control over, you just get stuck in a rut, rather than moving on. You make no progress.  Instead of looking backwards (remember what happened to Lot's wife? Genesis 19:26; Luke 17:31-32), learn from your past mistakes and move on.  Whether it be a bad grade, not making journal, or failing to ace an interview, we can all learn from these experiences to help us make better decisions in the future.
